This time, I am determined to write a blog and publish it. I have been looking for something in which I truly believed. Something about which I had fair amount of awareness or at least fair amount of interest to really do justice to the blog and its readers.
I am personally a huge fan of ted.com. They post these videos which are not just fascinating and courageous, but also quite informative and inspiring. Few days back, I happened to see one such video tilted “Sixth Sense”. It really made me think about technology and its effect on the way we interact with other human beings and our environment. Human body is great example of evolution but with technology that is around right now, hardly exploits our natural abilities. Rather, they make less human in the way we work and interact and access information. But with the success of touch technologies in products like itouch and iPhone, there is sea change in the attitude. The day when we can say our technologies are perfectly synchronized with our body and they make us more human is still far ahead.
The idea of this blog is to discuss some cool technologies and I would like to make it more informative and constructive. So that if someone wants to start working on some of these stuff they get the motivation and a starting point. One section would be on the videos posted weekly on ted.com. Explore the engineering behind, its implications and yes- its fun quotient. And may be, in process, I will find a cool idea for my doctoral work.
